Do you know how pissed everyone in Baltimore was when Mussina went to the yankees.

I was a fan when a guy named Mike Gallego was playing short, so you can stop with that. If you can't see they're headed down the wrong path, there's something wrong with you. h:
I got pissed off at you cause you said I was a fair weather Yankees fan. I am glad to see you actually know some of the so called stars from the 80's that they had. Henson isn't heading to the NFL any time soon. They also have a few guys waiting in the wings but their names are alluding me at the moment. I try not to memorize everyonebody' name in the Yankees farm system cause I have a life I didn't say they wouldn't hurt because they didn't sign Andy, but just because of that they are not going from 1st place to the cellar. They need more pitching. It is only Dec 11th. Opening day is a long ways off. Have some faith in them.

its like 5% who are on roids. and there is no reason for a salary cap when cheap ass owners dont want to pay out for a good team and would rather just keep cutting payroll

Werd. George Steinbrener is a fawking idiot. He's making it really hard to be a Yankee fan. He continues to spend obscene amounts of money on overaged free agents. And the 1 guy that was a necesity to bring back, he decides to let go. On top of that, the farm system is virtually non existant. If you're a yankee fan.....be afraid......be very afraid. :ugh:
What overage Free agents have they signed so far? Brown was a trade. Sheffield is not a done deal and i could see that collapsing.

Very easily could see Vlad who is 26 i think or Griffey whos 31? in Yankee Pinstripes next year

I dont really like Steinbrenner having complete control but hes doing what he thinks it will take the keep the AL pennant in NY

lets see. I feel like i should add some info to this. The yankees did not really go hardcore after Pettite until after it was too late. their original offer was for 3/30million. they were just sitting back waiting and hoping that Houston wouldnt offer enough or pettite would just want to walk back to new york.

The yankees farm system is very weak right now. the only real names are Henson and Almonte. and Henson is headed to the NFL. the yankees and henson were working on buying out the rest of his baseball contract. both sides realized that his baseball career was not gonna work out.

As far as brown not working out. I think he will. He is no different then the Red Sox getting Schilling. Injuries were actually in Browns favor last year and stats were very compariable.

Baseball still sucks. What's special about going to a baseball game when there's like 80 other ones at the same stadium that you can go to from April to September? What's interesting about a league where there's a few teams that always buy the good players and the rest of them just kind of stick their collective thumbs up their asses and spin around on em? It's not worth the effort to pay attention to it when it's such crap. The reason Yankees fans become more and more numerous among baseball fans is that a good chunk of the rest of us stopped caring years ago.

The Yankees screwed the pooch on Pettite. They basically let him walk away and offered too little too late. There was an article on ESPN.com where it quoted Pettite's father saying if the Yankees had offered him a contract at the end of the season and went after resigning him more aggresively Houston would not have been an issue.

Vazquez and their bullpen additions so far have been good, but Kevin Brown is certainly not the answer for the Yankees, not like Weaver is, and Maddux will not play in the American league because he does not like the DH rule. Is one sports righter wrote about Kevin Brown, he has had everything over the past couple years but the bubonic plague.

We'll see if the Sheffield deal can be reached and agreed upon. You have two of the biggest egos going head to head in baseball in Steinbrenner and Sheffield...lets see who will compromise.

As for the Sox I am bitter sweet over the I-Rod for Ramirez deal beacause I really like Nomar, but we could then trade Nomar to the Angels for possibly Jarrod Washburn, since the Angels have a 7 man rotation at the moment.

Yeah...maybe the 37 y/o Schilling will go 8-9 for you like he did for the D-backs last year. Thats really gonna help break the curse :jerkit:
