What a sad day it is in NY today :sad:

I really loved watching Andy pitch. I guess being closer to home was more important than winning. I wish him the best :happysad:

 

yea I have mixed feelings. I am bitter that he walked out on the yankees but I have to respect him for taking less $ to go where his family is. I was proud to have watched him pitch and be a good quality player/person for many years.
He did many great things and hopefully he does many more.


oh yea rumor has it we are getting Kevin Brown for Jeff Weaver

 

Yeah it's sad to lose him, but this really shows what type of guy he is. I have even more respect for him than I had. It must have been very hard for him to leave the Yanks to go to a losing team for his family.

We probably will get get Brown. Millwood and Maddax are still available too :rick:

last year he was 14-9 with and ERa in the 2.4 range. Weaver hasnt been able to handle the pressure in NY. I think it would be worth the risk

 

good stuff. didnt realize he was that good last yr, but fans around here (l.a.) didnt really like him

Oh well, I'm not going to pay attention to baseball until they get the entire league off the roids and put in a salary cap.

 

Werd. George Steinbrener is a fawking idiot. He's making it really hard to be a Yankee fan. He continues to spend obscene amounts of money on overaged free agents. And the 1 guy that was a necesity to bring back, he decides to let go. On top of that, the farm system is virtually non existant. If you're a yankee fan.....be afraid......be very afraid. :ugh:
