heres a bad argument to have...
never been too crazy about straight line racing at all
whatever you say, at an Autocross, the small and lightweight RWD Miata will own a heavier FWD GTi over and over again. And just when you think the GTi could beat it, it will be owned again, and again, and again...
There is a reason why the Miata is in C Stock, and the GTi is in the lower G Stock class...

I've had several people tell me that a miata sucks for regular driving due to how small the thing is. Like if a semi drives by the can actually feel the car moving due to the semi.
I guess I'm just totally turned off by the miata because I'm too damn big for it...that and I hate soft top convertables.

Well I think if you weigh the semi thing (which happens to all light cars like Civics) against the benefits of a light rwd car with a low center of gravity, i think it would be hard to say it "sucks for a daily driver". At least IMO.

well if you use your car every day, and you feel cramped in it (like I would) not to mention its either a :ghey: car or a mid life crisis car (besides it being for auto-x). If you are a hardcore avid auto-x fan, then I can understand it, but if you go maybe once a month for fun, does it really matter that you are 1-2 seconds faster? :dunno:
I guess to me the GTI is much more oriented for a comfortable ride rather than a ride that gets you around the twisties a second or two faster.

But it would be a fun car, even outside of autocross. Sometimes I drive fast around corners in the city. :rick:
