I guess to me the GTI is much more oriented for a comfortable ride rather than a ride that gets you around the twisties a second or two faster.
True if you're 6'4" it might be a tight squeeze.

But it would be a fun car, even outside of autocross. Sometimes I drive fast around corners in the city. :rick:
