the gti may have more power but you can always get more power, weight is a little harder to rid of, and a miata starts out with a 700lb lead, the miata will also out corner a GTI, hell i'm still in shock how fast a stock miata with r compounds can be

i've still never even been to a drag strip, but hell would freeze over before i miss an auto-x (and hell i've been driving a friend's SM car these last few events because my civic's needed work)
