Default Computer Question...

Someone will be my hero/heroine if you can figure this out... Here's what happened:

I installed Motherboard Monitor 5.3.5.1 and after resetting my computer I now recieve this BSOD which reads:

" *** STOP: 0x0000007B (0x82A9F790, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) INACESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE "

It also says some other stuff, but I haven't any idea how to fix this or get past this error.

The computer I tried to install it on is running Windows 2000 Pro. The motherboard is an ABIT BL7.

Is there any hope for me? I'd really appreciate any help on how I can solve this problem, thanks in advance. I wany my PC back.

Win2k is almost booted, like you see the logo and what not and the blue bars loading, then it just goes to the error screen. There is some other text with the error msg, I can post this if need be.

First you need to boot into safe mode and uninstall whatever it was that you installed and see if that works...

Yeah, my dad is like the comp. god, but he's not here right now. I called him and he said that the best thing I can do w/o him there is just try to reinstall the OS. It should keep my directories and everything correct?

What about having a boot disk? That help?

07B = boot controller driver error.

either it did not load or is conflicting with something.

Go inot the BIOS and check the boot sequence and make sure you HD with your OS is in there. I have 2 WD SATA raptors in a RAID 0 and when I installed a new storage HD, it changed the order and put my empty storage drive as my boot device (between the floppy and CD drive). I had to change it back before it would boot again. You HD might have just hosed too, the motherboard monitor thing might just be a coincendence.

Yeah, I pressed F8 and tried that. It didn't work. I then tried booting in the other modes, nothing worked... It all went to the same screen.
