I can select safemode, but it still takes me to the error screen. Here is the full error:

"*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0x82A9F790, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) INACESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Refer to your Getting Started manual for more information on troubleshooting Stop errors.
"

Thanks for all your replies so far. Who knew... I got more responces from you guys than I did from the forum for the Mobo Mon. program itself. I only got one relpy... an hour after I posted.

Yea, I'd recommend getting out the win2k CD and spending some quality time reloading.

Hopefully it will be helpful, just slow I guess...

Yeah, this is the most icky error I've seen, lol

So if I went ahead and re-installed the OS, I should beable to keep all the current directories and what not, correct?

j00 are da fuxored. just as I suspected you can't boot.

the only thing you might be able to try is boot into recovery console and copy the boot controllers driver into /winnt/system32/driver folder. but chances it's beyond fuxors.

did you have any data on it that you needed?

if so your only chance of getting it back it so install 2000 on another system and connect your messed up drive as a slave then copy the files from that one to the new one.

good luck

*head aches*

I have two hard drives

C: drive is a WDC WD400BB-53CCB0
E: drive is a WDC WD307AA

Win2k is installed on the C drive. Most my games and programs are on there along with downloaded drivers, software and such

E drive has all my images, music, videos, etc.

Go inot the BIOS and check the boot sequence and make sure you HD with your OS is in there. I have 2 WD SATA raptors in a RAID 0 and when I installed a new storage HD, it changed the order and put my empty storage drive as my boot device (between the floppy and CD drive). I had to change it back before it would boot again. You HD might have just hosed too, the motherboard monitor thing might just be a coincendence.
Are you talking about the stuff in the "Advanced BIOS Features" menu. Here is a little more info from my pc for you...

First boot device: Floppy
Second boot device: HDD-0
Third boot device: LS120
Boot other device: Enabled

Does this look normal...?

Try running a magnet over your harddrive to fix the situation. I believe the RIAA are out to get you.
