nah....it probably wont even be in their lifetime. the girl can be the next oracle.
but the kid wont be the next neo. the next neo will arise when there needs to be another neo.

Are you sure you're not thinking about some simple scene in Zion where some people might have been wondering why the sentinels stopped attacking?

What if there was no "war" between humans and machines?
What if the Matrix is a system created to allow humans and machines to live in symbiose. After all, machines need the humans' energy and humans would hardly be able to live in the real life environment.
Machines within the Matrix are aware of their existence and of the Matrix, yet they act like humans, live like humans... why? because it's a better world than the reality?
The Architect talked about anomalies and the few people that revolted and would not accept the Matrix. Why Zion? If it's been destroyed 5 times already, why do the machines allow the rebels to rebuild Zion?
We do not know what happened to the other times Zion has been destroyed, was the variable of Smith present in those previous time? It would defeat the whole purpose of the story if the whole thing is just a cycle repeating itself endlessly.

I think Smith has been there before, he does say the comment about he's been there before, he stand right in a certain spot, he says a certain line, but then after that, things diverge from the road previously traveled.
