Default Wireless network help

I bought a BEFW11S4 WAP11 and already had a BEFSR41. All linksys equipment btw

How the hell do I get this all connected? I have the access point connected to the wired router on ethernet port 4, pc on port 3. How do I confgure the access point to communicate w/ the wireless router (BEFW11S4) connected to the dsl connection? I have gotten the connection to work on the pc wired to the BEFW11S4, after configuring the PPPoE....sounds difficult, just name and password

am I missing something here? Do I have to configure MAC addresses or ip's?

thnx ppl's

im probably using the wrong terms...but log into the router, and tell it which IP to allow on it.

I can't get a signal from the wireless router to the access point

BTW I'm on the 2nd floor (access point and wired router) and the wireless router and dsl are in the basement.

Im not familiar wth Linksys but I know that if your computer has the same IP range as the AP than you should be able to log onto it. Try reseting the AP, make sre you get link lights on port 4. If you have a good connection with the wired computer (port 3) then dont mess with that, just make sure you dont have any filters enabled: like MAC filters or IP filters.

anything else just AIM: theguy386

try them when they are 5ft from each other to make sure it works first.... THEN take it far away.

When you access the router, did you select PPPoE as your connection type? And then add your username and pw?

yep I have that configured on the wireless router hooked up to the dsl modem. the pc wired to that router works fine. But I'm not getting any recieved wireless packets at the pc upstairs on the wired router w/ access point.

How am I suppose to connect the access point to the router? WAN port, Uplink, or 1 of the #1-4 ports? It doesn't work on the WAN port w/ a regular Cat5e cable but will w/ a crossover cable.

I just want a internet connection I wanna play some CS and surf the net....it's been a week w/o personal internet :wtc:
