if you go to figure 6-5 in the user guide, it says "in wireless bridge mode, the access point can ONLY be accessed by another access point in Wireless Bridge Mode." and if you check out 6-6, you see that the wap is still connected to other waps.

I'm reading your user guide. In the setup menu of the access point, set it to Access point client mode, and type in the MAC of the wireless router in the basement.
And specify and IP address, because it says that it has to be static.

he doesn't want wireless bridged mode, he wants wireless access point client mode (right above bridged mode in the user guide).
and he is trying to connect to another WAP...the BEFW11S4 is a WAP/Router.
