2 things.

the driver of the GSR sucks. a time of 15.3 is doable by a good driver in a stock GSR.

bigger engines respond to mods better than smaller engines. generally.

basically i just repeated whatever was already said h:

of course 4 cyls dont react the same to mods as 6,8 cyls

the larger engines get more gain from similar mods on a 4cyl

The way I see it, it necessarily isn't just the displacement that makes a car get bigger gains from mods. I think the way a car is tuned from the factory makes a big difference.

About the GSR's times, they do seem rather slow. If you want to rule out the driver being the case, try switching drivers.

If it isn't the driver, then the work done to the GSR is probably to blame. Who did the headwork and other engine work? What was actually done? Did they actually have a plan or did they just say throw a bunch of things together that weren't necessarily tuned to work well together?

also, think of modding cars like money... it takes money to make money..

a car with more horsepower from the factory will probably see a higher gain in hp when you modify it. i wouldn't compare the actual cyclinder number. instead, compare it with the amount of hp produced, which v6's typically come with more hp than a 4 cylinder.
actually the other car he raced was a 96 prelude who lost badly...
btw guys read you're sport compact car mags because you just called them a liar..they say stock gsr runs 15.7..sorry i may listen to some of you that know your stuff but they rest of put up a sorry front....and by saying tiburons just look fast sounds retarded considering the et with only i/e...the numbers dont lie...

thank for all of you who arent the typical honda assholes.. your maturity is much appriciated by those of us with a mentality proved to be over the age of 10

from what i heard my bf said that the gsr started catching up towards the end but the et was still 15.3 and 14.9 thats a big lead edit: no slicks on the gsr this time, my mistake

i can post timeslips tomorow if anyone would like to see..

Well i'm not trying to be an asshole, but for a V6 i think the tiburons are very slow. i'm not sayin 14.9 is slow but i'm running 15.2 in my h22 accord that is rated at 200 hp and 160 lbs of tq for a 4 cylinder. the tiburon is 171 hp and 181 lbs if i am correct? I would just think a V6 would have a little more power then something close to a 4 cylinder. But i still recommend you both swap cars that always gets things out of doubt if its driver or car.
