i can post timeslips tomorow if anyone would like to see..
yes i'd like to see.

Yes by looking at the 60 ft and trap speed it helps to see whats going on a bit, and if you have more then 1 run, the better to compare the numbers from all of them.

I would just think a V6 would have a little more power then something close to a 4 cylinder. But i still recommend you both swap cars that always gets things out of doubt if its driver or car.
i would agree that that v6 is under powered for having two more cylinders which is why i own a 4cyl....however i take into consideration the price of a gsr and a new v6 tib.... not to mention i think hyundai has come a long way,the first time i got into a tib i was impressed.

i have about 25 runs you can compare it to....well its too late tonight for me to get them scanned but i can have them ready tomorrow or thursday max

and they have both driven eachothers cars..its was a much anticipated race..my car beat his 99 civic :x

As stated above, and as a general rule, the bigger the displacement, the more benefit you're likely to realize from each basic modification (n/a engines).

As far as that specific race, I agree, something must be up. Thats a lot of time and money to invest for that almost stock time.

I like the 'tibs. I really think Hyundai is coming a long way with their cars. However, in the interest of buisness practices, its NOT practical for them to try to tune the car themselves any more..

Cheap/fast/reliable pick two.

Hyundai picks cheap (tibs not extremely expensive) and reliable (7year, 100,000 mile EVERYTHING warranty). In doing so, they have to de-tune the V6 a bit. I'm sure with a few, 'adjustments' here and there, you can open up a good bit of speed. The fact that it has more TQ than HP tells me that right off, even without playing around with the car.

Anyway... good run for the 'tib, and I hope your GSR friend gets his ducks in a line. He should be way ahead with all that crap done.

Don't be a magazine racer.

I've seen with my own eyes plenty of i/h/e GSRs run 14.8 ETs on street tires.

Hell the slicks alone should have had him deep into the 14s on a stock GSR.

So whatever the ETs are the ETs and he ran a 15.3, but that's a pretty pathetic time if he has as much done to the car as you say he has.

Bah drag racing is freakin retarded anyway.

no it wasnt....

everyones so defensive because everytime i mention tiburon..im not mentioning to start anything but my bf's tib is nothing compared to some of them out there that you guys just dont know about.theres a lot of competition with rsx-s's and gsr's..i get crap from most everyone and some of you need to learn to at least respect it as a tuner car,and respect me as a han member becasue a lot of the time most of you like to bash me for my car when all im trying to do is have a civil discussion.theres a lot of you on this board that have a lot of knowledge to share,so dont attack me with your"hyundais suck" stuff its gotten old and unneccessary.. noone knows hondas better than youz guyz... maybe you should listen to me sometimes because iv got the knowledge and experiance from the other side. i hope we can stick to the subject more in the future.for all of those with positive contributions thanks and to everyone else..grow up..
