Did yall do any conversions for this to work?
they are made for the headlight harnesses, one clip and thats all for the power source, and the rest is very simple... i bought the plug and play...hid's..not ones i had to retro fit..

the whole conversion/retro fitting is a lot more techincal..where you actually get a projector out of another car and cut the back of your headlight and fit it..and all that... it probably works better.

On ebay you can find mccullochs *which is a better brand* for 310$ and mecca tune *not so name brand* ones too for 310$

i got mine from a guy 310$ free shipping, if i were you id go with some 7000k's its like idea for everyday driving, and not worrying about cops =)
Wrong. Higher temperature has nothing to do with it being brighter. The number represents the COLOR temperature. With that excessive color, you have less visible light. IMO, 12,000 is ridiculous. You are paying for purple light which won't really help in any inclement weather or daily driving, for that matter.

Exactly. And I can tell from your pictures that the glare is already annoying the entire oncoming traffic/cars in front of you.

All in all,

Well if you plan to keep then, I think they sell some bulb sheilds to prevent the glare from blinding everyone on the road. I don't think your going to be seeing much when the road gets wet. I thought wet road glare was bad when I switched from stock to SilverStar bulbs (4,xxx something-ish K). I can't imagine the fun your going to have in Florida downpours. Think of driving in dense snowfall with highbeams on. :chuckles: I'd recommend a set of yellow fogs to have some type of road visiblility when it rains.

Well then I wish you luck. This kind of lighting is just not safe. But I guess if you want to look all purple instead of actually seeing sh*t, then go right ahead.

look at that crazy cut-off that HID's are known for..........oh wait...there isn't one. regardless of whether or not insurance paid for them or if you were trying to match the color to your car, 12,000k is RIDICULOUS. that is the most pointless thing ever. i bet you would get more light output from some old piece with fogged up headlights and some yellow 9006 bulbs.

I wish more people would learn more about HID's/Xenon's.

low budget picture through the front windsheild of the output w/ semi wet roads...
Except for the fact my Civic USED to run H4 bulbs...but now uses D2S; makes you wish people would learn that there is the RIGHT way of doing things, and there is a GHETTO way of doing things.

If you think you can slap HID's into any headlight and it's all cool, then you sir are one of the thousands that are mis-informed.

There is something called RETROFITTING. or at least taking the propper measures in installing HID's into you purple Civic. But regardless of the measures you take to make them right in your Civic, 12,000 is just show. If you insist on purple lights, I'd suggest getting another set of HID's (4100k) for daily driving.

Go educate yourself
