OK? they all dyno 190 - 210 rwhp stock

 

i put down 196.7hp to the rear wheels during a dyno day (bone stock). there was an AP1 with I/E who put down ~177, and an AP2 with I/E who put down 194. weird

 

OK??? I did 197.2 stock on my 01 and 201 with IHE. I now put down over 425 rwhp on pump and over 600rwhp on C16

 

the owner of the dyno said his numbers were conservative. i was expecting over 200 myself.

And that means litle unless you've also seen an AP2 put down similiar numbers on the exact same dyno. The 2.2 is a stronger motor.

 

The 2.2 is not a stronger motor. Its damn near the same thing. You get just a little bit more tq. It really doesnt matter, there are not very many stock s2ks. I ran a 14.0 when my car was stock. I drove alot of ap2 and they do not fell as fast and they also have a shitty clutch master cyl. No matter. all of the s2ks with alot of power are the 2.0 lt

This thread is retarded. On all shootouts between AP1 & AP2, the numbers were very similar. VERY similar. To novice drivers, like the 99% of us in here, it's not going to make any difference at all. Like blkturbos2k said, neither is a "stronger" motor. They've both got strengths and weaknesses.

To the thread starter - just get the newest one, in the best shape that's within your budget. Whether it is an AP1 or 2, you can't go wrong.

rich - my friend just traded in his 02 G35c for an 05 S2k, also. Funny to see how you guys are all converting! But the G35 is still an awesome car. Z's are sweet, too. Wouldn't mind having either one.
