THAT is teh super suck! Sorry David. I can't see how that mount or accelerating to 80mph in a straight line could possibly have done that to your stock motor. I smell a fish.

Damn! You just can't catch a break!

thats crazy coz the thing seemed to be running fine, other than the slower than expected times on the track. I'm very suprized to see a stock motor blow like that.. i mean, if it were a caviler then mabye!

hope everything works out for ya man!

i guess it just needs forged internals now! :rick:

I'm gonna guess something oil related...maybe oil pump failure? A well maintained motor isn't just going to throw a rod through the block for no reason.

Looks like shrapnel. Let us know what happens. Any kind of engine/powertrain warranty still on the car?

nah, they didnt even know thats where it had been. they said it was a mechanical failure and its not covered under my policy. If there were some way to prove an outside force ahd caused the problem, they would probably cover it,but with nothing but "it just went boom" they cant do much.
