Sounds like the previous owners either beat the crap out of it, didn't maintain it (change oil) or all of the above. K-series are supposed to be pretty tough... I haven't yet heard of one blowing of natural causes until now. Good luck with this ordeal. As someone has already mentioned, call Honda of America and explain to them what happened. Engine failure in a 2002 with only 95k miles is too premature. Can't make any promises, but Honda is better than most when it comes to good will warranty repairs.

The previous owner beat the crap out of it. It has an already worn out aftermarket clutch.

There is no way that we could tell if it was an aftermarket clutch, We just know it was toasted

the car has a service sticker from its last oil change, i called the number on it and they had a full service history on it. The guy did the reguler maitenence :dunno: Ill just be glad when i have my car back

so what was it that happened? Did it blow a hole in the bottom block? or was it the head?
