go with the h22 series i got a longblock for 1200 from a normal guy
not everyone is out to screw you, just dont EVER trust guys from the junk yard

i learned that too a while back, but it didnt cost me quite as much

there is a reason why honda kept the basic h22a design (crank + head) around for about 8 years, its good shit bro, powerful and very reliable...except the open deck h22a4 has a few issues.
the 93-95 h22a (OBD1) is the best for the buck power and reliability wise

i suggest you seriously consider the h22 over the turbo f22, there is something special about being able to outrev civic si's with a 2.2 liter engine :naughty:

its called winning NA races for a 1/4 the price youd pay for a turbo

if you need any help or advice, u can email me or PM me

I also got stuck with the crappy F22, but im thinking about swapping in an h22. My question is do i need to get the complete package ? Will the axels from my f22 fit the new motor? Basically my question is, what are the neccessary items that i need to get, that without them the h22 wont run?? Im asking this because im running a little low on money and im thinking of a way to go around of getting the WHOLE package.

you can get away with using your old axles, but its anyones guess how long they will last with the h22a setup...depends how u drive it, same deal with the tranny.

u will need:
the h22a engine (longblock if u prefer)
the p13 ecu

u can mate the f22 tranny directly to the h22a, however i would have to recommend going with at least the h23a1 tranny if possible.

the f22 tranny will prob break eventually from the extra 70 or so HP
same with the f22 clutch it wont last, although a h22a clutch will fit the f22 tranny spline

i did it with just the engine and ecu, im not sure what u will need to mod on the f22 harness, the h23a1 is straight thru, except adding 2 wires for the VTEC solenoid <-> ECU

thanx ludeboom! I just have a few other little questions to ask you. Can i just use my f22 tranny for awhile and then later upgrade to the h22 tranny? And do you know any places around ATL or within driving distance around Georiga where i can buy the motor?? If not then what are some sites that you would recommend that are reliable to buy the motor online?? And is that your Lude on the site from your sig, the one that WHOOPS everyone's ass? If it is that thing is AWESOME!!

Thanx

i dont know of any places around atlanta or even georgia that stock h22a engines. there are a few places online to get them, as far as quality, well you cant really blame the place you bought it from if the engine is shit and burns oil or something, i mean it came out of a car that anyone could have been driving and some people care for their cars and others dont. so its a 50/50 chance for the most part.

i rebuild honda engines and sell them to people on ebay, and people in my area.
if you are interested in buying a fully rebuilt (0 miles) h22a from me, let me know. i can do it for significantly less than all of the guys on the internet and ive got a good reputation.
i can also build the engine to watever specs u want as far as internals or i can keep it stock.
if your interested
either email me
or look for me on aim

Thanx
And hopefully ill be doing business with you shortly
