Oh man that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

I know that the engine will fit right... not sure if the tranny will work.

yeah i guy at a junkyard about a 100 miles from me need an h23 and told me he would trade me my h23 and 200 for a sh h22 and lsd tranny. He said he couldnt tell me the mileage cuz the car had been in a fire. so i pulled my running engine out and drove 100 miles, get there and they said they are sorry but they cant give me the tranny. Then i see the engine, the engine bay had been on fire and every thing on the engine was melted, no vtec solenoid, broken pulleys, rusted over cams. I said **** no, so the guy gave me 800 for my h23, now im regretting the whole thing. sorry this was so ****ing long. Nick.

that does suck... but you still have your h23 tranny? then just go with a h22 longblock. you can get them from hmo for 1200. I know I certainly wouldnt want to go from an h23 to an f22. but yes the tranny will work, intake manifold will work, header will work but maybe different lengths. but I would definetly look into getting an h22 longblock if you still have your h23 tranny it shouldnt be too much more than what you got for your h23. oh and yes there are forged f22 pistons. raceeng.com

thanks for the info fellas. H22 was my first thought and i almost bought one but these ****ing companies always pulling bullshit. I called nippon-motors.com in cali and they said they had one for 1150, plus 150 shipping. sounded like a great deal. I told them i would have my friend call them the next day with his credit card number. They didnt have a motor and hadnt had one for weeks, but they had a 97 non sh motor for 1500. So i sad **** it.

So now its who knows how many miles h22 or a boosted , built f22.

what would you do.
