Just pulled the A/C...
only took about half an hour.. the radiator is getting full cooling now that the condenser isn't blocking it.
Now I gotta pull the compressor--which is all that's left. Too tight to get at. The dealer said they'd remove it for an hour's labor and also said they would size up a new belt for me.
does anyone know an exact belt (part #) for the crank? Maybe a non-A/C Civic one?

After this summer in NJ there's no F-ing way I'd have a car with no A/C. I had a 83 Scirocco back in the day that was manual everything and I stripped the A/C out as well. I'm going to guess that car wasn't more then 2000lbs with me in it. Too bad I never had the money then to do any real motor work.

Not knowing which gen your car is-I will hazard that you only need remove this belt by itself. Mr CRX had a separate AC belt. As far as I know, Honda AC is an option and the bracket has its own tensioner. Check with a dealer for a new belt if you must go that route.
