my car wont pass smog, i swapped in a jdm h22a, used to be a usdm h22a1, do these use different vacuum lines? i would really appreciate any links to diagrams for the egr and other smog necessary vacuum lines HELP please i cant legally drive to work ;(

 

JDM and USDM engines have different vacuum lines, sensors, and other various parts. Depending what is causing you to fail, you may or may not be able to pass the test. Hopefully someone with some concrete knowledge will be able to give you specifics on what is different and if it's possible to pass. Good luck.

 

What did the car fail for? Visual? actual emissions? Explain more. Did u try to test it?

 

it failed the knocks and its throwing a code 12, egr.. i really need a diagram

I can get it for you but would you know how to use it? Do you own a vacuum pump to test for vacuum at the EGR? Do you have an understanding of the EGR system? Can your computer read .pdf files?

 

I'm sure your not in CA, cause you can't have a JDM engine under the hood here unless it was released in the us market and is identical.
