Smog and timing?? (CA)
Alrighty, so I took my car to our local super ghetto smog shop, where they have already passed quite a few of hybrids.
I took it there and they said they could not pass it because the timing belt cover is off; and they wouldn't be able to check the timing. (I took it off to get to the adj. cam gears)
Since when do they have to check the timing on a smog test? This is in NorCal and I don't believe it is part of the Smog II program.
