-3 to +3

It's nothing near what they say it is.

Remember a CAI will help an engine get more air... but if it's the same engine and exaust... it's really not going to help much.

So if you have a stock car and just add a CAI don't expect much. They help more when you have a perfomance header and a decent catback. They are better then, but still not as good as when you have the internals built up and some good engine work done. THEN you might see a CAI adding 10-15hp vs the stock intake.

gains all depend on how restrictive the stock setup was before your mod. if your intake is already free flowing and gets the coldest air from the factory, u probably will hardly see any gains. Same thing goes for headers, if it's a very crappy restrictive header u will see badass gains in power with an aftermarket one.

After i took out my resonator bottle, the outside noise got louder... also the "sucking" sound could be heard by just standing next to my right front fender.

I wouldn't get the bypass valve. Well acutally, I didnt.

The extreme chances that you will ever need it are so remote.... you won't need it.

PLUS, I've heard of people saying the bypass valves foam breaks off and renders it uselss and isn't covered by warranty.

I think, if your going to get a CAI. Get a CAI. If your thinking of getting a CAI with a bypass valve, it's better to just leave it stock. You won't see gains with a bypass valve... and they look totally :ghey:

Yeah don't worry about the bypass valve, I wish I han't, just look out for giant puddles of water. www.aempower.com has dyno results for most of their CAI systems for the 5th gen Prelude you get 5.4hp with the regular CAI and 7somethin'hp with the V2 intake and this is of course to the wheels. Personally I would go with the V2 if I didn't already have the first one. I'm pretty sure it only comes in one color though.
