imho if the "minorities" would stop bitching about every god damn thing, they wouldnt get the "hate" that they keep bitching they are getting.

for example. Guy A is a white male on a scale of 0-10 (10 being best) is rated 9. while Guy B is a black male is rated 6 in the same field. now employer has to decide to A) higher the more skilled white male and risk being sued by Guy B or B) higher the less skilled black guy to reduce fear of lawsuit.

it really is shit like that, that makes alot of white people hate black/pr/etc. if they would get over the Black Vs White thing. then i dont think there would be a problem. btw so none of you people thinkin im Anti Black people here. some of my damn good friends are black.

I'm Jewish, haven't really had any firsthand experience with true anti semitism myself.

I mean people will make stereotypical jew jokes which is a bit annoying and I would prefer if people who aren't themselves jewish wouldn't make the jokes but in the scheme of things it's relatively minor.

I do however feel that there are enough people who are of a certain mindset that Joe Lieberman has no chance of being elected president.

i hope i myself, or any of my kids (in the future) never see leiberman as president. not because he is jewish. but because he is one of the biggest people towards censorship and control of the public being

Sure haven't seen much mention of it recently. The last time I did, it was a bunch of goofy-looking skinheads that were preaching white superiority. When I consider how those inbred morons were prime candidates to be on the losing end of natural selection, their message seemed pretty lame.

Arabs are also semites, so in that respect, there has been some antisemitism since 9/11. But I'm guessing that wasn't the idea.

Hmmm anti semitism huh?

I never even think about it really. I have good friends who are of the Jewish faith and have yet to see them personally treated different because of their beliefs.

I also don't use derogatory slang regarding race or religion unless it is known it is in a joking manner (even then almost never).

Why the question? Have you faced anti-semetic sentiment recently?

There has been a rash of anti-semitism in my school. One student constantly puts down others of a different religion and said that Judaism is superior to other religions. Some people got tired of his attitude and sent him to the hospital with a few broken ribs and his face disfigured.

Since, that incident, the "ignorants" of the school have expressed their feelings about semitism. Now using the word 'Jew' is used as a verb. So when someone says they were "jewed out of something," they are saying they were screwed out of it.

Ahhhh I see.

It seems the school board would take some action against both those that started this problem and those that responded to it.

Using the terms you state is a pretty callous thing to do and I have heard it used many times....I kinda never really noticed but it is around more than I thought.

Example....I used to say that someone who stole something or snagged something had kyped (sp?) it. A friend of mine who is Jewish asked me not to use the term anymore or at least not around him.

Never thought about it but its origin comes from the racial term kike....I haven't used the term since.

There are things that people say daily that regard all races in an unfavorable light but I think that this situation should be brought up to the school board and its board of supervisors. If you do this with members from both the Jewish and non-Jewish student body and state how it is beginning to affect your learning experience I am sure it will be dealt with.

Another idea is to contact your local TV station and point their noses at the racial tensions in your school.....schools tend to jump real quick at this kind of thing.

Stereotyping around my school is commonplace and it is very annoying. I usually go through a day with one or two ignorant people not calling me Chinese, or oriental, but Chinamen! I thought that calling someone oriental was archaic and stereotypical, but this topped them all.

Thing is, people can make all of the Asian stereotypes they want, while making stereotypes on Black is considered racism, meaning Asians are fair game and all of it is in 'good humour'.

We tried to enlighten people about the various cultures of Asia by making an Asian club and welcomed everybody. This went horribly awry and now the majourity of the school thinks our club is elitist and every non-Asian in there is a traitor.

So yea, I am disgruntled and pissed off...
