Michigan: medical marijuana
Anyone watch Super High Me? This comedian doesn't smoke pot for 30 days then the next month he smokes pot everyday for 30 days, going to the doctor every few days. He got a card for medical marijuana. There were a few busts during that time.
Its a good and funny movie

well with Obama now the man and a majority in congress maybe he'll bring some "change" in the form of de-criminalizing it. If they were to leagalize it and tax the crap out of it I'd be down with that.
I saw it, kind of intresting.

Marijuana should be decriminalized, period. Not just medical. All the negative things shoved down society's throat are just spin.
:werd: One of the main reasons it was made illegal in the first place was because is was the major competitor to cotton and the investors of cotton wanted NONE of that.

I'm sure all those DEA agents that specialize in pot busts want to keep their job too.
The problem is the amount of money and energy most countries use to wage this ''war on drugs''. They should use this money for better purposes.
Taxation on pot is already very high in the black market, no one would notice if the business became legitimized and over taxed because of the mark-ups, in fact due to the loss of fear production rates would probably increase exponentially, adding even another money making factor.
I mean if gasoline was illegal, and it cost $20 a gallon, who would complain about it being legalized and taxed up to $10?
and a big problem is history. America has spent the better part of the last century hating on cannabis, spending billions of dollars against it, wasting man hours on laws and a lot of effort into the war on drugs. Then there is thousands of people in the prison system right now who will cry that their crimes are no longer illegal at parole hearings... some, though few, of which actually are dangerous criminals that just got put away on pot charges.
