lol this was a good 20 min in and out reading. i dont have much opinion about guns and the crew here, but i would think that the detaining of a person with an open gun would to protect the safety of others. sure this guy went to many places with his gun, it is perfectly legal to carry the gun in the fashion he did, but what if some crazy guy at this assembly of people got a hold of his gun, then what? that should be the only real reason they moved this guy from the rest.

Maybe we should keep the cops away too since their guns could be snatched too.

so what if the guy with the gun was walking down the street and that scenario happened ... you could place a ton of what if's on any situation but what if's aren't grounds for trumping laws, especially when someone is following the laws

not to mention ... someone who is crazy enough to attempt to kill a presidential candidate is not going to take the chance he finds a gun at the event ... he's going to come prepared

lol - if someone snatched a gun from a cop i would sure hope the cop next to him would shoot the guy who snatched the gun.

hey i am not trying to keep you from your guns, hell, if i had my way, i am sure a lot more people would be getting shot at.

i am not saying he did anything wrong nor am i judging his right to bring his gun around, i am only stating that they might have wanted to keep it away from the general public.

nothing personal

but thats a moronic argument

cuz cops always travel in groups
and that last statement is exactly what a anti-gun person would say word for word "keep them away from the public"

cops dont always travel in groups but they do usually stand around in pairs.

so just to make sure i understand your gun toting ways, just because the law says you can carry your gun unconcealed to just about almost everywhere you go, you should do that?
