War on Iran...scary:

http://www.newyorker.com/fact/conten.../060417fa_fact

A world war has been discussed in the past...liberals have used this as an argument against the current administrtion and it was always disregarded...but we have to realise, if Bush declares war on Iran and uses nuclear weapons, and he has already teased this idea in the past week, this will become a world war. This is for real now.

And lets not forget that Iran is one of the youngest and most prosperous countries on this planet. The young citizens of Iran want to better themselves with education, science, and capitolism. 60% of Iran is under the age of 30...the individuals that we are talking about waging war on are the old school elders that are in the high seat. If we bomb them, we destroy there schools...we destroy there research and technology, we destroy there labs, libraries...and lets not forget the lives of the young individual liberals that side far left and make up the majority of there state...

Yeah, that article has already been discredited by like 15 other articles. The author is relying on hearsay and jumping to conclusions. We have war games for every single country on the planet...it's just a contingency plan in case all else fails.

We're not going to war with Iran unless they send a bomb over here or fly one into Jerusalem. There are much easier ways to deal with that problem.

I sure hope so. Let the controversy begin (it's already started...whatever "it" may be):

WW3? Yeah, no...

Wars are not fought like in WW1 or WW2 anymore. Terrorism and economics are the new forms of warfare. Militaries are outdated.

Iraq posed as a threat to the US and was labeled as a product of terror....We waged war. Iran supposedly poses as a threat and could be percieved as a a product of terror. If we wage war, Iran won't run and hide in a hole. They will strike back just as hard and raise the interest of the muslim states...we won't be fighting Iran, but rather, the entire muslim world and middle east. We are at the infant stage of a world war. And with a president that lies multiple times, I don't trust him and trust this countries safety in his hands.

I love how you people turn everything into an anti-Bush rally. Let it go.

Correction, SEYMOUR M. HERSH teased this in the past week. NO Administration official has claimed we will use nuclear weapons.

Iran is a threat and their Hitleresque President has already vowed to destroy Israel. Further Iran is a producer of terror aiding Hezbollah in terrorist attacks against Israel and elsewhere as well as fuelling the terrorist attacks in Iraq. Finally a nuclear armed Iran is not just a threat to Israel but also Europe and our bases in the Middle east and Turkey. This is something that cannot happen and appeasement is not an option. Ask Neville Chamberlain how well that worked with Hitler.

If Iran chooses to go the way of Khadafi in Libya then there will be no need for war. If they choose to go the way of Saddam in Iraq then there will be. What remains to be seen is if the World steps up to its responsibilities before it is too late.
