I did the exact same thing with Alternators Decepticharge. I got one in a beater box so I could open it ... 3 weeks later, he's on the box pile still sealed.

I ... just ... can't ... do it.

Someone on the TF board is looking for the KO'ed tapes ... I offered one of the 3 Frenzy / Laserbeak sets I have ... and now i have 2 PM's asking if I have more.

I'm thinking about getting more tapes to trade away. :hs:

 

Ok...

1. This variant never made it to our side of the pond.

2. They weren't packaged in the standard fugly Euro style packaging of the day, so the KO packaging is almost dead on.

3. These KO's are made from the same presses as the original red-foot Prime. Same French molds = same toy.

4. You can get a reissue Prime in original colors easily. This is harder to find. Also, the reissue Primes in original colors have a nub on the front hub caps similar to the nub that is on the front hub caps of Ultra Magnus. These presses are the original nub-less rim Prime molds. If anything, this KO is more accurate to 1984 than the official re-issues from Takara.

If SOC only releases 10 (I'm sure he made 11 and kept one for himself), it would be cool to know that the HAN TF thread cornered the entire world market on red-foot KO's.

 

S-O-C made a post about the red foot prime on his blog ... nobody made a comment on it, so I think he believes there's little or no interest in them ... which can't be further than the truth.




on a side note, I bet crystal prime is being made right now. I'm guessing in about 2 weeks, we'll be counting heads and drawing more funds.

and this will be a nasty cycle though the Seekers (skywarp, thundercracker, starscream, and sunstorm), Dinobots, minibots, and whatever the hell he has.

 

I'm 100% comitted to purchasing another red-foot. With that said, there's only 2 left.

My Beast Wars set arrived this weekend, but I was too lazy to snap some pics. The box was a lot bigger and nicer than I expected. It has a flap covering the window to see the figures. There are also pictures on the back highlighting all the changes were made for this release.
