Do the NSX beat the Corvette??

Actually, a better article, one that instead shows a direct comparison between these two cars, is this one:

The Z06 may post performance numbers in some categories that are ever so slightly better, but you can tell from this article that these two cars (and the 911, which was also compared) are clearly in the same league, with similar capabilities.

I've read this article before. It is a good comparison of the two cars. Although the NSX is clearly behind in speed and handling, there are still people who prefer it for reasons other than racetrack ability.

In fact, from your posts, I bet that you have never driven an NSX or a Z06 at the track (a real racetrack, not a dragstrip) at all, ever. Am I correct?

There are 3 drivers in the article. An enthusiastic drive, a club-level racer, and a professional racer. All three drivers had the faster laps in the Z06. The ONLY one who preferred the NSX over the Z06 at the racetrack was the 'enthusiastic driver' with NO race experience (whose write up also included references to Gran turismo 3 and 'which car he'd prefer on a date').
What does that say about your opinion, since you DID post this article?
I have driven a few laps in a friends '96 NSX at a parking lot autocross last year and was impressed (considering he only paid $35k for it). I test drove a used '01 Z06 early this year, and it was definitely more powerful and, from the few curves I went around (at least in straight out lateral acceleration, no transitions), seemed to handle at least as well.

Okay, thanks for confirming that you have never driven either car on a racetrack. Which means when you talk about how they do on a racetrack, you really don't know, because you have no experience driving either one on a track. "What does that say about your opinion?" It says that you don't know anything, and you have absolutely no experience to back up your silly, bigoted statements.
As for what they said in the article, it's quite clear that the NSX is competitive with the Z06, with very similar performance. Sure, one driver preferred the NSX overall (including the racetrack), and one driver preferred the Z06 overall, and one driver preferred the 911 overall. At least each of them drove all three cars on the track - which means that their opinion is a lot more knowledgeable than someone who hasn't.

So, back to the original question..... does the NSX beat the corvette? NO. Close, sure.... but NO.
The NSX may be proven more reliable, more exclusive, more comfortable, and have a larger percentage of assholes as owners..... but they are NOT faster.
ohh wait u are completlly wrong like u said the question was does the nsx beat the corvette and it does beat the corvette in handeling and acceleration this forum was about the normal vette not zo6 to beign with. u lose sry man
Well, I guess then we'll compare a normal C5 to a 3.0 AT NSX.... and the Vette is still faster. If you are going to use the more powerful NSX in a comparison, why would you not compare it to the more powerful corvette?

You really have to have the last word, don't you? This argument will go on forever. You won't be satisfied untill somebody agrees with you, so you just keep on  . Can it!
How about some you rich members pool some money together, go out and buy a new '03 NSX and a new 03' Z06. Then go and hire a professional driver. Then go out and rent a real race track [Sear's Point, Laguna Seca, Willow Springs, Road Atlanta ect ect ect]. Then have the pro driver drive both cars on the track with equal track time for each car. Then compare times.
