I believe that's a picture of the bondurant (sp?) drifting school. Some guy bought a fleet of gto's set them up for drift and started a drift school somewhere in the US.

I was just defending the NSX.
It outclasses the GTO and shouldn't be put in the same category.
It is ugly and it does look like a Grand-Am.
20 years? Small blocks go back a lot further than that and I didn't say they are bad motor, one of the most popular ones ever built in fact.
Everyone always downplays the NSX, I don't like it.

Yeah, a rumor going around the industry when the GTO came out was saying that they really rushed the design of the GTO, thus didnt get quite the revolutionary car they were hoping for.

It's not a rushed design. It's one that Holden made YEARS ago. They just slapped a new drivetrain in it, put a few new body panels on, and called it good.

ah, ok thats just what i saw once on speedvision, wasnt too sure how accurate it was.
or maybe it was that the redesign was rushed.... either way, Its cool, but not all that revolutionary. Now the new ford GT, thats a whole different story.... amazing car.

you can't base your argument on how fast the NSX is because you saw a Best Motoring video and an NSX won. If I remember correctly there was a thread on here (or was it another forum) that said how it was unfair the S2000 lost to the 350Z on another Best Motoring video, by the same standards, you can't say one car is better than the other by some video.

The corvette is a GREAT car, why? Because for that price, you simply cannont find a better performing sports car. Then again, that is why there's too many corvettes on the road, and an NSX is much more of a head turner.

I really hate it when people pick and choose test results that support their views, and exclude test results that contradict them. That's called "bias". For example, the July 1998 issue of Car and Driver tested an NSX Coupe and got 4.5 0-60, and 12.9@110 in the 1/4 mile. And the reason it doesn't appear here is because...

After two years, I think this forum has had enough discussion of the Corvette. This is supposed to be an NSX forum. Let's keep it on topic. Those who want to discuss the Corvette are welcome to do so - on a Corvette forum.
