I don't know if it was panel-sided, but it was the one with the big plasma screen in the back.

Actually loks pretty good, but by the spy photos it probably wont look like this at the dealer.

The concept looks like a hideous mutation of the current generation Eclipse. The read end looks waaay too long for the car, so it looks like its dragging its ass around. The shape is a little too bubbly and curvy for me, but I'm sure it will get watered down for production. Its too bad we have to wait until MY06 for it.

That looks like a turd. The color isn't helping things much either.

I think it looks absolutely terrible. Way too rounded. If it came to production as is or close to it, I'd say it's uglier than the Aztek.

Don't worry guys, this looks to be nothing more than a design exercise with maybe a couple of styling cues shared with the upcoming 2005 production model. The real Eclipse will be nasty looking in its own way.

2005? Wasn't the new Eclipse delayed to 2006?

was searching the net for pics for the eclipse and came across this, just wanted to comment...

That would be unlikely and unwise considering they have a 2.0L DOHC Turbo engine that produces 271 HP already. I would love to see them smack that turbo on the new 2.4L 162HP engine they have in the new Lancer Ralliart edtion. Drop that in the Evo, stick a 6-speed in it, and that is one unbeatable car!

Of course it is not likely they would put that in the eclipse. The 3.8 is a likly choice.

I also find it interesting that everyone is calling the Eclipse a "poser" car. It's in the same class as the prelude, rsx and celica. Guess those are poser cars too huh?

Personally, I love my eclipse. Great power and great torque (which is more than the other three mentioned cars can say). Wish they would have made an AWD one with a 6-speed

Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts
