Gotta finish w/ college first...and I'm debating centrifugal supercharger vs. GReddy turbo vs. JRSC.
Coilover Suspension is next up. Then audio.
Figuring on Tein SS, maybe Basic...
Or the H&R Competition Series....:dunno;
:eh: Oy. I've gotta decide sometime....soon.

Teins own j00. I was in an IS300 with Type FLEX and theire amazing. Even the basic dampers are awesome.
Go for a Turbo. Superchargers arent as efficent, and arent as easy to get power out of.
A B18B Turbo is like a KA24DE with turbo.
Its not popular or "JDM" but it can 0wn anything in that class.
Everyone goes on about SR and RB swaps into 240SX's, but why spend 6 or 7gs to be JDM when for 1000-1500 bucks you can lay down 240whp, the same as a freakin RB25DET!

I understand Rick's point with how much horsepower a Civic has versus the Echo, but there's a few things he has to remember.
Honda Has:
1) More tuning potential in the engine (at least in this comparo, although the 7th gen. Civic with VTEC-E sucks...hard to tune. The last gen. Civic HX had VTEC-E as well).
2) Engine swaps
3) Aftermarket potential

2) The 2ZZ-FE(Celica,MR2) bolts right into the Echo/xB/xA chassis
3) Greddy/TRUST, HKS, Power Enterprise, Blitz and a number of "JDM" companies make turbo kits and other parts for the 1NZ-FE and 2ZZ-FE

I kinda think the JDM "fad" is beginning to fade from the limelight; beginning to assume a new role as another "way" of modding / tuning.
As we all have seen, a clean, thoughtfully done car always owns the F&F 2NR set. Hopefully more people will see the light.

As far as my DC4 goes, I like the USDM design; It will be remembered as one of the canons of import design & tuning. With that in mind, I'm aiming for a fast, enjoyable car with excellent handling, while preserving the original spirit of the DC platform.
Sounds like TEIN is the way to enlightenment...along with a turbo...and maybe a stroker kit...
:bigok:

I hate to see JDM go down the tubes. I was into JDM when I was 4, cuz I had all the JDM mags my dad brought home from Honda head office. Anyone remember the Accord Inspire, or Legend Beta, or, the Prelude(BB6 chassis 4th gen) Futuristic Speicalty? Perhaps I should scan teh brochures.
Ive got the Prelude, Legend(1G) and EG Civic hatch
Now JDM is an overused term and it saddens me. Ive stopped using it, and now put JDM in quotes
I hate to see all these comapnes like APC juse the JDM term, but whats worse is all the 240SX and drifter posers using the JDM term, when theyre ricers...GRRRR
Forget the stroker, get a B20 CRV engine, do a T04E or T3/T4, ala Top Fuel, and some Teins.
And LSD...
