2003 Honda Mugen Civic Si
Ya know if Honda would just lower the car by an inch and make 17" wheels standard it would look sooooooooo much better. I think that with the RSX selling fairly strong and the Si selling like ass, Honda might consider bringing over the CTR.
Of course, the more logical conclusion is to bring over the ITR instead of the CTR. The ITR would be guaranteed profits based on the success of both the previous ITR and the RSX. There's no proven market for the CTR.

However, with the poor sale figure of the new Si right now and the competion is heating up, don't you think they need to bring over the CTR more than the ITR since the ITR would be creaping into the price range of the 350Z and the new RX-8? If they don't improve the Si, they better off just discontinuing it. But then if they do that, their civic model won't have as much of a sporty image as it would be with the CTR. So I think they should just bring over the CTR and call it the new Si.

Now that's the performance that the Si needs to be kicking some butts considering the segment just got alot more competitive in term of performance coming from SE-R SpecV, SVT Focus, MSP, Neon SR-T4, and I also read that the new Lancer OZ will get a 170-175HP engine to match the look. I'm not sure if this is true as well but I heard Toyota is considering putting the GT-S engine into the Corolla. All this mean that every car in this segment has at least 170HP. The Si is the only one w/ 160HP.

If the current Si doesn't sell well in the next two years, I can assure you that Honda will bring in the CTR as the Si-R, as well as keep the current Si. Heck, why not? What do they have to lose? Sales of the RSX? Two different segments, right? All the magazines rave and LOVE the CTR, so isn't that a sign all ready? C'mon, even MUGEN had to display an Si w/ CTR parts...hmm...
