Problem with the Si is the rear window, how it slowly tapers upward. It makes it look like it's very tall, and hence egg-shaped. Dumb styling move. :eh:

I've decided I like everything about this car except that there's no way to get into the back seat unless you climb through the hatch.

As for a hypothetical 240 hp Mugen Si being compared to the S2000, that's like comparing a Cadillac Seville to a Camaro Z28.

So guys, what do you think. Think Honda will start offering Mugen from factory? Or make it avail in dealership or something. Like with MazdaSpeed or Nismo let's say. Or will the FP be all we get?

Honda won't begin offering Mugen for several reasons. I'd list them, but it's fawking 1:50AM. Goodnight.

Nismo, Mazdaspeed, TRD, etc are not separate companies like Mugen is. While there's a close relationship, unless Honda suddenly buys Mugen I don't see them bringing any Mugen products to Honda dealers in the near future. They already tried it on a much more limited scale back in the mid 80's before all this "import tuner" crap caught on and it wasn't much of a success.

Don't forget Mugen was started by Soichiro's son. They appear to be very close...maybe we'll see some of the larger dealers carry their parts, but I doubt they'll become factory options or even OEM accessories.

I know that. But Mugen and Honda has ties as close as they get, blood. Honda needs something imho to compete, and Mugen already has one heck of an estalished named. I'd like to see Mugen come from somewhere other than King Motorsports and at a lower price, but I do know that aint likely.

Maybe it is just me but there is no way that a Mugen Civic Si is going to sell for $20K. Look at that list of mods alone. If anything this will be a specific car that has to be ordered...I cannot see Honda producing these on their assembly lines...it will most likely be hand built which only adds to the cost. I am willing to be that the price tag on this car is going to be more than an S2000...but then again the two are apples and oranges.
