H/NFan...do not start this BS of contradicting each and everything someone posts that is negative about Nissan, proof or no proof. Also by saying some magazine I was implying that I DO NOT REMEMBER WHICH ONE! But that is not the point. Who cares which magazine it was, they called Nissan on their HP claims for the Maxima and they got adjusted accordingly. Maybe you did not see the commercial stating 260 hp by Nissan on the Maxima...but I sure did:madfawk:

Oh and just for referrence the CL-S has 260hp, less weight, better gearing, LSD, 6spd and yet it does 0-60 in the same time an Altima does. These cars were tested on the same track, same driver.
And just who exactly did this? Is this something you are now making up? I do not remember seeing anything of this sort or that someone even compared the Altima to the CL-S. Why don't you get off the fake hp claims without proof!!

And for the record I can not think of a post that yianni has made anything up without proof! And also between the 2002 and 2003 Altima where did this magical 6 whp come from?

Can't someone say something on this board that Nissan has done wrong without H/NFan flying off the hook????:dunno:

Where is my proof ............and here it is:

2003 vs 2002 Altima

The Altima and CL-S were both tested by MotorWeek. They weren't being compared to each other.

Altima Data

Now look at my post and look at others. Notice how mine have factual data and other dont. Now there is going to be an argument on mag racing and why motor week isn't credible.....kinda like how the LA Times is a small publication, lol

No I am not flying off the hook. You should ask others why they are making comments about dildos in people asses and such. There is nothing wrong with liking Honda, driving a Honda or anything like that but, there is something wrong when you like it so much you lie about other companies and then when somebody comes back with "man you are obviously lying, where is your proof" you get upset and talk down to them.

Oh, and I am tired of getting late night messages and emails about how members of this board hate it here because of the super bias and how they got banned for saying something against Honda and how this board sucks. Why them come complaining to me, I have no idea, but it has happened like 5 times.

Thank you for the facts to back up what you were saying. I am sorry I do not remember which magazine called Nissan on their HP numbers nor tape the commercial that stated 260. The reason that the Altima has equivalent numbers to the CL-S is the higher torque. The Altima has 246 vers the CL-S' 232. I also know that the Altima has more HP this year...but where did it come from? What did Nissan do to get it?

I am not biased vs. Nissan or any other car manufacturer but I do remember what the commercial claimed and then re-claimed and that was what I was talking on.

I don't know what Nissan did to get the extra hp to the Altima. I know why they did it though. The could have done plenty of things...ECU, intake, exhaust, cams...who knows.

Stop making up stuff to make other companies look bad. Does the Altima 240hp?? We will never know until somebody takes the engine out the dyno it at the crank. Oh and just for referrence the CL-S has 260hp, less weight, better gearing, LSD, 6spd and yet it does 0-60 in the same time an Altima does. These cars were tested on the same track, same driver.

The Q45 was dynoed and prove to have the claimed hp. Nissan just test the car with no options to get the 0-60 of 5.9secs, although C&D got 6.0secs and some other place got 5.8secs.

Get off the fake hp claims without proof!!

And yes the 2003 Altima does have 245hp and yes there is a difference there is a dyno between a 2003 and 2002 and the 2003 had 6 more horse to the ground.

Once again when you get factual data and not stuff you heard or thought or read somewhere that nobody else of heard of or read, then lets talk.

Yanni you would suck at being a lawyer.

i knew youd come back from this.

I never said anything about the 260hp. For some reason I thought I saw Q45 with 345hp. Read my post and youll see I was seriously questioning that, as in I wasnt sure.
Same goes for the Altima, i acutally wanted to know how it got 5hp. Simple as that, dont get so damn offended.

And one thing, i dont pour my time into a damn debate on HAN. Try to debate with me on some REAL issues, then youll see me get into it and make you feel like a moron.

Common knowledge is unless the test conditions were the same, even it was the same magazine, they dont mean much.

Why would someone report to you? The people that got banned from here were all super biased and just caused drama. You've disagreed with a lot of people many times, yet you never got banned. That's becuase you so far havent been a flat out jerk like some of em.

I don't see any temperature or barometric pressure information on their page, so unless they were tested back to back, I'm going to have to call that info totally worthless.

Also H/N fan, the CL weighs more than both the Accord and the Altima. (according to a few websites)
