Looks like the sketches were pretty accurate after all. I think its shaping up to be a pretty good looking car. Its definately not a sports car, but I think it should be pretty impressive nontheless. I'm just amazed that MB can even fit a 3.7L V6 in the engine bay of that car.

The details look very nice but the overall shape of the car is a bit off to me. It's a little too tall, a bit too stubby looking and a bit too narrow looking. The small wheels and tires with big wheel gap don't help things.
So basically it's got the exact opposite problem as the Z4 which nails the proportions but looks retarded in the details.

Newest issue of Autocar magazine (you can find it at Borders or B&N) has some really nice spy shots and computer renderings of the SLK. Basically what you see is what you get for the most part. It looks like an amazing car, taking the best design cues off the most recent MB models.
