My check engine light came on???

so the maint reqd light thing is just a safety thing that comes on every 30k miles??cause i bought my teg at 61000 and the light wasn't on but around 63 or 64000 the light would flash for a little bit when i turned the car on. Now i'm at like 645000 and the maint reqd light stays on all the time. If that is just a thing where it just needs reset does anyone know where i need to go reset it??

Chrisgsr96 there is a button underneath the steering column that you can push at the edge of the panel on the right of the steering column it will turn off the maintence required light. That should help. It is also a little square
