APC or cheap shifters are just cut-down versions of your stock shifter, meaning literally just a shorter shifter. More expensive ones, like Neuspeed and Skunk2 have one or two (dual) bends or 'pivot points' that make shifting much easier. I just bought the B&M short shifter for 65 dollars which included some Urethane bushings, and I don't believe it has a bend in it. But it's not a bad deal. I'd say if you have the money get a Skunk2, from what I've heard you won't be disappointed.

$100-110 before shipping usually...
Not sure on the install...I have never done one. I might wait till I get my header and exhaust before I put it on...so that will be around Christmas.

Install isn't difficult...mine took about 35 minutes to install. Oh, I have a Skunk2 by the way and I love it (esp. with polyurethane shifter bushings! WOWOWOW!). I get compliments from my MR2 friend, other Integra owners (who don't have a short shifter) - they all say it feels great.

install is pretty straight forward. you have to take off the center console/ armrest piece, undo a few bolts, unhook your shift linkage, take the old one out and slide this black boot off of where the ball is and then reverse it all onto the new one.
you can take part of your exhaust off so you can get to it easier but you dont REALLY need to. if you have big hands then i would suggest that you do take it off. oh and make sure it is cooled down!

i got a 12.95 dual bend short shifter with bushings off ebay, and i tell you it feels the same as the skunk2 that my friend paid 110$ for. It is strong and has lasted me for almost a year. The throw is much shorter. You are basically just paying for the name
