LS or GSR

Its hard to get good opinions from a messageboard like this, because GSR owners want to feel like they made the right choice in spending the extra money for the performance, and the LS owners want to feel like they have a good car even if they don't have the more powerful engine.

Actually I would say that, but only if he wanted to deal with the Type R...noise, theft, cost...theft...Since he wasn't asking about R's though....
I guess it depends on whats better for his needs but if hes asking the question between LS and GSR, I automatically assume he can afford the GSR, and that he probably wants to go faster....so I can't see any reason to not go with the GSR besides the extra costs.

GSR obviously is a more performance oriented car with the components that it comes with....but keep in mind that if you want an ls to perform "like" a GSR, it won't take much. GSR's are great cars....wish i had one....but more often than I expect, I see gsr owners at the track who can't drive.
Yes, GSR has VTEC, and a better performing head. But the LS is known for a stronger bottom end. So it depends on what he wants to do. If doesn't want to do anything than he should get the GSR. If he wants to use FI, he should get the LS. Plus like I said before, extra costs associated with the GSR (like the Type R..insurance, theft) he could use towards a low grade turbo that would easily put him over twice the difference between hp. But if he can afford it, I suppose he should get the GSR. I'd take a GSR over an LS anyday. It just depends on what you want out of the car.
