BY the way, thie mechanic ( he has a 740 hp supra single turbo, by the way , with NOS), told me that the amount of shot you can run depends on how much stock hp your engine comes with... You can run Nitrous shot up to 50 % of your stock hp. For example, if you are running 150 hp at the flywheel stock, you can use up to 75 shot without changing internals. Likewise, a 200 hp stock car can run up to 100 shot on stock internals.

First of all, it's NITROUS, not NOS. NOS is not the only company who makes nitrous products. Second of all, I think Nitrous is fake power. It's like the difference between a trained athlete and a prick on steroids. After the steroids the prick goes back to being a weakling but the athlete will always be strong. Also, steroids messes up your **** after enough years of it...same as nitrous And as for your "throttle in a bottle", why don't you just save up for another year and buy a turbo? Then you could feel the boost let loose and wouldn't have to decide to hit the button at each stoplight or not. Nitrous should be the finishing touch on a well tuned car in my opinion..the point is without "NOS" your car is just a prick.

something to think about....if you are running a turbo there is always going to be a boost putting stress on your engine, if you have the option to decide when you wanna go faster, you only put more stress on your engine when you want to.

Yeah but if you buy a good turbo package, block guard your engine, and run around 15 psi or less it is perfectly safe on your engine. There was a guy who got 257 whp with only a turbo and block guard and ran a 13.38 @104.9 in his LS. The whistle of a turbo is a sweet sweet sound..

Ohh yeah and if you have the choice of going fast or not in a turbo car..you're not putting high boost on the engine when you're cruisin at normal speeds..and also, why wouldn't you wanna go fast?

i guess that means if a turbo or sc car loses its source of power itll be a prick??? like my boy dubster says...
Originally posted by dubster99 What I have noticed is people who say nitrous is bad, nitrous sucks, blah blah blah. But they don't have technical information to back it up...."its just cheap".....well hmm. If I spend less money than you, and am way faster, who's the smart one? ....own3d

Nope. If you aren't on the throttle, there isn't any boost.

I think nitrous is OK, I'm not using it because I'd prefer to learn about my engine and tinker directly rather than just plopping on some bolt ons ATM. Same with boost.

If you want to do it, sure. But the mistake a lot of people make is thinking it is cheap power. Sure, the initial payoff is cheap, but if you fill up every couple of weeks for a year, two years... makes a turbo look cheap.

On a side note: Why is your name skunk2integra if you have KYB shocks, Neuspeed springs, and an ebay intake?
