Short Ram or CAI

The thing about the $50 intakes vs. AEM/Injen, etc., the designs are obviously similar, a long pipe to the front of the fenderwell. The difference in these intakes doesnt lie in the piping or "aluminized coating," its the design of the filter. And the filter on the cheap Ebay intakes are definitely not going to be as good as the K&N or similar found on the higher end intakes. Is it worth the $150 difference to have a "funnel filter" or "velocity stack?" Thats up to you.

Hmm thats crazy. I'm almost positive I saw them on groupbuycenter.com. They listed the most common applications such as Civic, Integra, DSM, etc etc and they averaged anywhere from 30 to 40 dollars. Check it out.

Yeahhh, except for perhaps....header, exhaust, turbo, supercharger, nitrous, cam gears, camshafts, and any bit of internal work, etc. etc. all of which should give more power to the wheels.
In my opinion, hyping up Intakes, of which where I live is done only by ghetto Ricers, is the quickest way to get you flamed.
Given, it's the cheapest mod for the power you get, but I would hardly call it "blissful".

have any fo you ever been to a dyno, any research?? probably not since YOU sound like ricers, but your all probably 16 and dont have a dime to your names to do a dyno run. any seasoned honda tech knows that intakes are a very good investment for hp gains, oh and liking the sound of secondaries opening up in your intake mani doesnt make you a flamer, oh but u wouldnt know what they are cuz you refered to them as vtec which makes you a unknowledgeable flamer.
why the fawk must every thread turn into flaming:dunno:
btw i have AEM short ram that i bought three years ago. from then on i have also gotten an HKS hiper cat-back. the intake has served its purposes but hasnt provided any additional power. the real power came from the exhaust dropped my 1/4 time by .3 seconds. an intake is an intake but cold air will give more power.
