The thing about the $50 intakes vs. AEM/Injen, etc., the designs are obviously similar, a long pipe to the front of the fenderwell. The difference in these intakes doesnt lie in the piping or "aluminized coating," its the design of the filter. And the filter on the cheap Ebay intakes are definitely not going to be as good as the K&N or similar found on the higher end intakes. Is it worth the $150 difference to have a "funnel filter" or "velocity stack?" Thats up to you.
So buy an Intake off Ebay...and buy a K&N filter. That will cost you anywhere from 70-90 bucks together (30-50 for the Intake and 30-40 for the filter).
