Temp gauge going way high, HELP!!

I poured about 80% of the bottle of coolant 50/50 in tho the radiator. I think I solved the problem! :yay:

Unfortunately, you still have to find out why it became low in the first place. My car does the same thing when the coolant level gets low and I know there's a leak. I just need to find out where it's coming from...

I have never seen it drip on to the ground and its a new radiator (well less than 2 yrs old). I will change the cap, the seal was not flat when i removed it (looked warped) and also I smell coolant sometimes when I park the car. We shall see.
