i used a RS Booster, RS Master Cylinder, Oem RS brake lines, Oem RS Proportioning valve, everything is brand new too thanks teg92 for the help and carta79 for bringing over the bud lights :chuckles:
They go down so good when you're thirsty. That dual gasket idea between the master cylinder and booster was classic. When something goes wrong I always say "That's JDM" :drunk:

it's simple. with non-ABS, you can lock the wheels during braking. the risk in this is that you won't be able to steer away from danger. this is why they tell you to pump your brakes if you start sliding during braking in rain/snow/etc, so that you can still steer and...

the other risk is that you won't come to a stop as quickly if you've just locked your wheels up and are sliding to a halt, especially in rain/snow.

with ABS, as soon as the system realizes that the wheels are locking up during braking, it pumps the brakes for you. in turn, you're more likely to steer out of danger while still slowing to a stop, or come to a stop quicker in adverse conditions.

did you count the difference for the parts that were replaced after removal? that's susprisingly heavy.

all the oem parts for the abs unit to function properly weight 28lbs. Like i stated before, i never had working abs so im used to having to stop without abs because its been like that since the day i bought my car.

I hit a dog last year, Came bolting out at full speed of some alley. if the ABS wasnt entact I think I wouldve f%$ked up my front end and the dog... he limped away. I sometimes want to do what you did, but It snows here and thats why 28lbs. is justified.

If you have any idea what you are doing, driving a non-ABS car in the snow is not difficult. A front driver like an Integra makes it much easier.

ABS isn't going to save you from other drivers. They are a variable you can never control.

I've done fine in snow with rear drive RX-7's, I haven't missed ABS one bit. :dunno:

If you are asking why I don't miss my ABS, its because I can only remember one time in my life that I've locked up my brakes (in a non-ABS vehicle, of course.) I still had plenty of room to slide to a stop. It was the guy behind me that I was worried about, he stopped about 1/2 inch from my rear bumper.
