well for now, i just want the car to be fast in the 1/4 mile. Im hoping around 300+ whp. And i plan on going turbo, but all this is years away. I wanted to know ahead of time so i wont either waste my time on the b18b and just get a b20b/z or just build up my b18b and dont worry about getting a new motor. TIA

which b20 do you have? the regular b20 or b20z? i was considering doing a b20 swap too, i need more info on which one and what the outcome is.

JDM B20B = pretty much the same as the US B20Z

here's my situation:
i have a 94 rs. the head gasket has a leak. it's going to cost me alot to get it fixed. i have looked around shops and got estimates. ok, now this is what im thinking. i have decided and set my mind on a b20z into my teg. i want the complete b20z engine swapped in. i actually need more info on this swap. i dont wanna go lsvtec or crvtec, i just dont have the money and time. if i do get this engine, my future plan is to turbo it. it should be pretty easy and everything should fit right in, right?
here are my questions:
where can i get a good conditioned b20z (im located in socal)?
how much does the complete engine cost?
what other things might i need, if i get the complete engine?
do i need the b20z tranny or can i use my ls tranny?

if i have anymore questions, ill post them, but any of your suggestions are highly welcome.

you need to keep your LS intake manifold... the b20 IM doesnt fit right

you cant use the b20z tranny, keep your LS tranny but if you are going vtec then id suggest getting a b16 or b18c tranny for shorter gears... turbo, keep the LS tranny

plan on payin 1000-1500 on your motor

pull out your LS engine
drop in the B20 longblock in.
reuse your LS intake/throttlebody/intake manifold
reuse your LS exhaust manifold
reuse your LS ecu
reuse your LS tranny

98 obd2b GSR ecu-nicely converted to obd1
GSR Tranny with quaiffe LSD
b18c pistons (prototype) /mugen 2 layer Head Gasket
(prototype)Custom JDMCONCEPT Cams/cam gears/
the whole package....

234 whp on pump gas..which is 91 around here...190 lb torque.... and rising.
Thats what im talkin about.
going to the track next week with slicks... looking to use 110 gas...im giddy i cant wait. so far nobody around here has been able to get me. I took out a pair of turbo'd civics and turbo'd ls's have been no problem so far. Added to the list within those 5 days is the wrx(damn those things are quick), and b18c1 running 8 psi. (gave me a run for my money but got him nicely:naughty: )...lol...

NICE!!!!!! love the ideas used to build it.... did you come up with the design yourself? cuz there are some parts you decide to use or will use that i completely agree on but 90% out there disagree with me
