I personally designed it and made all plans from scratch. thanks for the compliments. There are some out there that just dont think that it is possible or r just haters because they see the back of my sleeper and integra and say "wtf"..lol

everything came out to roughly 5400-5600 a little more a little less. Which includes tuning and a brand new suspension!! its pretty good when u buy straight from japan. From conception to birth...lol... the planning stage (math) took about a week. The actual construction w/machine shope, engine building, etc. etc.. about 3 1/2 weeks. I wanted to get it as close as perfect as i could. Not one single problem yet. i love MY NA b20zvtec monster. I learned one thing though, you have to be patient and literally aspire to want to do this, its the only way it will come out like you want it to. No leggo mentality or rush to finish. It was pretty cheap too. My previous monster was a Blown ITR. she was a monster untill well, she couldnt handle no more...rip...we dynoed her at 321.3 whp. she was a work of art, just not perfected, mistake learned. she cost me quite a penny about 9k...i miss her... the total for my b20zvtec i predict will be about 6k, and i hope to be around the 280 range. (was thinking boost, but i had that now i want the NA monster..lol

:werd: and its not that people dont think its possible, but they just have a different concept of building up an NA honda engine. 2 summers ago a friend and i spent 2-3weeks alone just figuring out the math to piece everything together...and thats why i was curious who thought up the design, because its so damn similar to our plan. anyway, props on the hard work man

Yeah, its not as easy as it seems, you got to put in the hard work. curious DB7, what kind of car do u have? how similar is it, maybe we feel what a b20zvtec should be like huh lol..

i have a 94 4dr teg.... its actually a stock jdm b20b.... the plans i had was actually for a bored n resleeved b18b built from the bottom up. i wasnt going to do the vtec head swap though. but the part that surprised me about your build up was the use of the b17 crank...anyway, the b18b plan fell through because i blew up the original b18b and got it replaced with the b20 right away....which caused me to have no money afterwards

anyway, hit me up on AIM sometime allmotor4drrs

thats cool db7, the use of the b17 crank gives me the ability to rev higher safely, the crank wont create as much sideload on the walls as a b20 crank(when revved high) or even the b18 crank, hence the b17 crank is there. I might return to the b20 crank knife balance, the whole nine yard, and see what kind of difference is felt. I will probably try out all 3. oh by the way the b17 waz a ***** to get...lol...

yeah the B17 internals are hard to come by. i was contemplating on either the B17 crank or at the very least a GSR crank. btw, the B20B and B18B cranks are the same at 89mm. if you want a slightly bigger stroke than the B17, i suggest the B18C.. itll give you more stroke than the B17, but still rev a lot better than a B20/B18B crank.

I have always contemplated the crank. its always one piece im not sure about. I like my b17 crank and i was thinking of the b18c crank but i loose quite a bit of displacement

One thing i forgot to add on their was the b18c block girdle, nice little safe protection from high revs.
