I'm actually looking into an HID conversion because my passenger's headlight connector melted away and the junkyard wants $180 for a used headlight connector.
I had some cheap blue bulbs that melted the bulb connector on my eclipse.. I bought a 9006 socket from napa for like 5$ and just spliced it into the factory wires.

or do what schmoo did...don't do retrofit and just leave the Halogen projectors in there.

Id liek to get HIDs but I hear you cant just turn them on and off like reg lights. they have to be lit for like 30 min -1hr. well what if i drive around the block or to 7-11 for soem grub. If you shut them off to early they will brake(WHAT I HEARD) anyone hear this. Also how long you think they last and what about $$$$$$$$$ on blub replacement. thats gotta hurt. What state are they illegal in, all 50? thanks

Not true. They take a few seconds to warm up to full intensity once they are ignited, but not half an hour like you heard. The bulbs I have are rated for 20,000 hours, so they will outlast a halogen bulb, but cost a lot more to replace.

All aftermarket HID kits are illegal in all 50 states.
