HID's

I got some HID's from my cousin and i was wondering do i need to do a HID retrofit? Cuz my cousin said that its better to put it in my teg than in my sisters and moms car..Integras have the Projectors..

i have a 94 Integra

You don't NEED to do a retrofit on an Integra since it already has projectors. I didn't retrofit mine and I have a nice cutoff without much glare at all. Here is mine: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=190926

For the retrofit, you will need the projectors out of a HID equipped car and a buttload of time. There is a writeup floating around Honda-tech right now, but I can't seem to find it.

Nevermind....I found the DIY for the retrofit into Integra headlights: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1140970

I see that you did that 5 months ago. How are they holding up for you and was that relay they were talkin about later on ever necessary?

Still holding up fine with no problems. Screw the relay, they are working just fine. If something gets fried, I will pop a relay in there, but until then, I'll save my money.

No, I didn't retrofit. If it was cheaper and easier to do, I would think about it.

Wow Schmoo, you're right about them making it too easy, you can just plug the ballast right into the stock socket!! I've got some Lexus IS300 HID's in my car and they were one of the easier installs when I put them in. The ballast tied right into the stock socket wires, but I still had to cut the stock socket off. I didn't do a retrofit or anything and mine are working fine. Decent cut off line and they don't blind anybody. I installed them July of 2004 so it's been over a year and they're working fine. My camera sucks at night shots.

Need some cutoff pics. They look pretty nice, though.
