Default Syncros?

I just got a 93 integra ls and its got a short shifter. It feels like im beginning to see problems with the syncros since shifting into first is impossible unless i double clutch or at about 2mph(which might be normal in this car).

Also shifting into second from first isnt that smooth as my shifter stops for a split second before going into the second gear and if it doesnt stop for that split second the gears grind, which only happens when im racing and paying more attention to quick shifts then my gears.
Ive heard a few people say its because of the short shifter, but im wondering what you guys think about it
Thanks guys

A friend told me that if you have to double clutch to get it into gear it's something in the transmission. The master slave cylinder maybe? Not sure which part she said it was. :hsdunno:

A slave cynlinder is located on the front of the transmission, But you dont have one because you have a cable transmission. A slave cynlinder only comes with Hydrolic Trannys

those symptoms happened on my car as well ('96 gsr... hydrolic transmission.)
and my throw-out bearing went...
Not saying that the t/o bearing was the cause of those symptoms, just offering info..
Maybe bring it to a dealership mechanic and have him tell you?

It Maybe Your Clutch You Can Tell By Puting It Into Gear When The Cars Is Off If It Goes Into Gear Easy Then You Just Found Your Problem And You Might Be Able To Get Away With Adjusting Your Clutch Cable Down By The Tranny To See If That Helps If Not You Will Have To Replace Your Clutch.and If Its Still Hard To Put In To Gear With The Car Off Then I Would Check The Shift Linkage For Binding If There Is No Binding Then Its Internal.
