Since this thread is doing so well, I've stickied it and turn it into the first of a series of Official Threads.

The idea is that we have one tightly managed, strictly on topic thread to replace dozens of sporadic threads that are less informative.

Hopefully this concept will improve the forum and raise the level of discussion.

I have a question myself about smog...i know that greddy does make carb legal turbo kits but is it true that the intercoolers are still pending? And if it is then is there another company that makes carb legal intercoolers?

I have heard either way. I know that there is a CARB EO number for the 92-95 civic intercooler kit and I was told that it is transferable to the Integra. I have to get smog by Sept 10, so we will see, once and for all, what the law on that really is.

Greddy is the only company I know that makes "smog legal" intercoolers for Hondas. Any other intercooler is definitely illegal.

Here's a great link for smog people...if you failed your smog test, look up your results and use this chart to help determine what's wrong:

I just had my car smogged. Again...apparently my state REF smog test in December was only good to get me off the hook. Kinda some BS if you ask me. A smog is a smog right? Yeah not here in CA. If you get busted and have to go BAR and then your tags are due 8 mos. later like me you have to do it again. Anyways, with all the work done in december and the free new cat from Acura the car passed. It passed cold too. I drove it to the SMOG shop about 10 minutes from here at 7 in the morning. You know the car is running right when it passes cold.

Yeah, I believe Smog tests are only valid for 90 days in CA. So since your registration smog test wasn't within the 90 days after your BAR appointment, they didn't count it...at least it passed.
