Bore or Swap?
Ok, I'm a tad conflicted...
My original gameplan, was that I was going to bore my b18c1 out to 2liter (84mm), then replace/reinforce some shit before I look into boosting...
I've heard/been told that I sound like i'm on the right track by a lotta people and shit, but I brought these plans up to a guy who runs a performance shop around here that's been doing this type of stuff for a pretty long time, who was like "why would you do that though? You could just get a b20 for cheaper.."
I honestly don't think dropping a b20 into my car would be cheaper, nor better honestly than boring out the b18c1 I have already...
any suggestions, comments, or comparitive info on this topic would be appreciated!

If you want to bore your GSR to 84mm, you're going to need to have it resleeved. If you want to get a B20, you're going to at least need to upgrade the rod bolts for boost and 8k rpm. The cylinder walls of the B20 are fine, it's a common misconception that they are weak. They will hold up to boost no problem. However, if you want to build a motor for a good amount of boost, resleeve your GSR block and build the piss out of it.

I'll probably stay with the engine I have...
The trade off, however, is if I bought a b20... i'd have a GSR motor to drop into a CRX or something...
still probably just gonna build my b18c1 in the integra though.
I want to drop wiseco pistons into it... but I lack knowledge of the subject..
Could someone please point out an 84mm wiseco piston that would work with my engine? It looks like the CRV piston would be the one to use, being 2liter and 84mm and all.... but it says the compression is off... I want to be dropping my compression to 9:1...
any help/suggestions welcome!

wiseco has an 84mm piston that will put you into the 8.4-8.8:1 range with a b16 head according to the application chart. if you were to use your gsr head you would get a slight bump in compression bringing you closer to 9:1.
I don't know a whole lot about compression rates... as long as i'm getting more power, and doing so efficiently, I don't care what it's at... I've just heard that 9:1 was the way to be.
